They are usually used to improve aesthetics of the front teeth and require minimal tooth preparation to provide the possibility for you to choose the shape and colour of your teeth. Porcelain veneers look and feel like your teeth and are resistant to staining over time compared to composite veneers.

If the underlying tooth is healthy and strong, porcelain veneers are often used to restore damaged or discoloured teeth. When there is little healthy tooth remaining a dental crown may be more appropriate.

WHAT ‘S THE PROCESS OF GETTING VENEERS?

The process of having veneers are to firstly have the teeth checked by our local dentist in Bondi Junction to ensure that they are healthy, professionally cleaned and free of decay or defective fillings. Moulds are taken of the teeth so that we have the exact replica of how your teeth are shaped and positioned. After this extensive work-up, which takes some time, we then decide on how the final result should look and also most importantly how much tooth structure would need to be reduced to achieve the result.
